Jaksha C. Tomic has extensive experience in all phases of domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution as well as client counseling, including drafting over 500 patent applications and prosecuting thousands of others throughout his career. Jaksha focuses his practice on industrial and specialty chemicals and processes. In addition to his extensive prosecution background, Jaksha also has spent time in chemical laboratories giving him a true appreciation for the methods and means employed in producing chemical inventions. Jaksha employs a proactive approach to patent prosecution and aggressively pursues interviews with patent examiners to ensure that his clients receive diligent and efficient protection of their intellectual property. In addition to his J.D. and degree in Chemistry, Jaksha also has a degree in economics which provides him with a dynamic and unique understanding of the businesses with which he works.

Jaksha’s fields of technology include industrial and specialty chemicals as well as more specifically, pharmaceutical compositions, plastics, silicones, silanes, coatings, adhesives, sealants, cosmetics, petroleum processing and petroleum products, tire technologies, organophosphorus chemistry, fire retardants, consumer goods, lubricants, semi-conductor materials, underfills, catalysts, chemical vapor deposition, agricultural additives, textiles and polyurethanes.
