Ryan Schneer brings a combination of technical expertise and legal acumen to Dilworth IP. Drawing on his background as a former Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and years of experience at both big law firms and his own independent practice, Ryan offers strategic intellectual property solutions to entrepreneurs, innovators, and creatives. His practice focuses on securing enforceable patents, managing complex IP portfolios, and advising clients on branding and trademark strategies.
Ryan draws on his deep experience in chemical engineering in his work with global technology companies in the polymer industry, the natural resource material industry, and others. He was an early expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI), representing several clients in that emerging space. He has also integrated AI into his legal practice.
Ryan’s expertise also includes substantial experience in consumer products. He takes a holistic and strategic approach to product protection by leveraging his extensive knowledge of utility and design patents, as well as trademarks. Additionally, Ryan has developed significant experience advising clients in the medical devices and robotics industries.
Throughout his career in IP law, Ryan has become known for his ability to navigate complex technical challenges and to deliver innovative legal solutions.
Outside of his legal practice, Ryan is passionate about music, poetry, and sports. A lifelong Mets and Jets fan, he enjoys spending time with family and exploring creative pursuits beyond the office.
