Anthony Sabatelli, PhDDilworth IP is very excited to announce the newest member of our team, Dr. Anthony Sabatelli.  Dr. Sabatelli comes to us with a wealth of experience in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries with over twenty years of industry experience focused primarily in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, material science, and consumer products industries. He holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Yale University and a law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law.  Most recently, he was Vice President/Chief Patent Counsel & Authorized House Counsel for Rib-X Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (now Melinta Therapeutics), a New Haven biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of new antibiotics, where he also served as a member of the Senior Management Team.  Before Rib-X, he was in-house at Merck and Procter and Gamble, where he started out his career in R&D.  Anthony also teaches chemistry as an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven and serves as Vice Chair of the Yale Graduate School Alumni Association.

Anthony further enhances Dilworth IP’s deep in-house experience and the understanding that that brings, having himself spent most of his career in-house, as both a research scientist and as a patent attorney.  Anthony appreciates the needs and perspective of the inventors in the lab, the in-house attorneys who seek to protect those inventions, and their business-focused management by helping them to create robust, yet practical, portfolios, whether comprising a single patent case or several hundred patents.  Throughout his career, Anthony has become adept at understanding the complex interplay of various exclusivity variables, particularly as they relate to patent, regulatory, and product life-cycle issues, and is also well versed in the Hatch-Waxman and regulatory laws relevant to pharmaceutical practice.   Anthony is a great addition to our already stellar team and we look forward to working together with him!
