The national legal rating service, Super Lawyers, has once again put a spotlight on Dilworth IP by naming both founder and managing partner, Michael Dilworth, and partner Ben Lehberger to their 2023 list of top-rated practicing attorneys. This is Michael’s first year being recognized by Super Lawyers. Ben has received recognition every year since 2019, and was named a Rising Star in 2016 and 2017.

For nearly three decades, Michael Dilworth has been a leader in the field of intellectual property law, pursuing his deep-felt philosophy that with innovation comes the promise of a brighter future. Before founding Dilworth IP in 2007, Michael led the in-house IP department for Chemtura Corporation (now LANXESS Americas). 

With a background in chemistry, Michael has earned a reputation for his proficiency in all areas of IP law in both domestic and international jurisdictions, including patent prosecution, portfolio growth and management, and counseling and opinions. Beyond this year’s recognition by Super Lawyers, Michael was named among IAM’s World Leading Patent Professionals five out of the last six years. 

Ben Lehberger

Since joining Dilworth IP, Ben Lehberger has contributed his unique expertise in various technical fields and his passion for IP law, making him a valuable member of the Dilworth IP team. Before becoming an attorney, Ben worked as a helicopter design engineer. He not only has a strong track record in patent and trademark prosecution and litigation but also brings firsthand knowledge of aviation and the aerospace industry.

Ben previously served as the president of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA) and is actively involved in professional organizations like the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), the Florida Bar Intellectual Property Committee, and the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association.
